punctuation - AM/PM vs a.m./p.m. vs am/pm - English Language & Usage ...
I used to think PM/AM was correct, but at some point, I switched to using p.m./a.m. for reasons I can't recall. I know that in practical, casual writing, people tend to use whatever form is most convenient to them, but I'm curious about what the official usage—should it exist—actually is.

I admire and am very interested in the project. which comes from I admire the project and I am very interested in the project. by a perfectly normal application of Conjunction Reduction. There's nothing grammatically wrong with this sentence.

What is the correct pronunciation of the word “ma’am”?
Given that this shift involves many class issues, and the alternation of /a/ and /æ/, I suspect it may have influenced the pronunciation of ma’am somewhat. I’m pretty sure that the shift in the vowel of ham is relevant, given the older spellings of ma’am as mem, mim listed in the OED.

Difference between "at" and "in" when specifying location
I am used to saying "I am in India.". But somewhere I saw it said "I am at Puri (Oriisa)". I would like to know the differences between "in" and "at" in the above two sentences.

Is the usage of "ma'am" in the Philippines correct?
In the Philippines, they use the honorific ma'am before a name, such as Ma'am Garcia or Ma'am Karen. I think this is incorrect use of the word ma'am, but I was told it is acceptable.
